Joy was born in Illinois, bred by Jennifer Bush, home to Yankee who is Joy’s sire. Yankee is one of the founding stallions used to start the Rocky Mountain Horse registry.

We were able to purchase Joy as a broodmare for our breeding program.

She is registered with full breeding rights to all three mountain registeries: Rocky Mountian, Kentucky Mountain and Mountain Pleasure.

Joy is a people-oriented horse and enjoys being around people.

She has produced several foals that have been some of our gentlest horses that we have produced.

Joy died in 2021, Easter Sunday morning. We are comforted knowing her soul lives on in heaven.
