At Blue Bonnet Stables, our Rocky Mountain Mares are the foundation of our exceptional breeding program. Carefully selected for their gentle disposition, natural gait, and strong conformation, each mare plays a vital role in producing the next generation of quality Rocky Mountain Horses. We focus on proven bloodlines that preserve the breed’s integrity and ensure every foal inherits the temperament and traits this breed is known for. DJ’s Dose of Blue
Dosey is a homozygos roan with old time bloodlines; sired by Union Blue! Dosey is proving herself to be a great broodmare and is loved by us all on the farm. She is an easy mare to work with and she keeps Tigre lined out as shares a pasture with him and two other mares.
Nellie is a red roan and carries foundational bloodlines that are new to our breeding program! She is a well-gaited mare with the striking red roan color. She is pretty!
Rhythm was born on our farm, out of our stock, and sold as a weanling. We purchased her in 2019 to add to our broodmare herd. She is a solid black mare with a stocky build. So far, she has produced three foals out of Tigre that are Red Dun Roans!
Charm was born on our farm out of Tigre and Milagro. Her color combination is very rare, a Dun/Buckskin Roan! She is quietly and beautifully growing up on our farm. Our plans are to cross her with Amego’s Rockin’ Blue.
Dawn was born on our farm out of Tigre and Nellie. She is growing up quickly with her sweet temperament and beautiful confirmation. We want to keep her as a broodmare and cross with Amego.
Gayla was born on our farm out of our stock and sold as a weanling. We purchased her in 2023 to add to our broodmare herd. We are looking forward to crossing her with Amego!
Belle has been us since 2005! She is our best producing mare as her foals are beautiful, have great temperaments and such pretty colors. Her last foal was in 2025 and is now retired. She has been a wonderful broodmare!
